In Brightest, you can upload, collect and track your scope 1 GHG emissions data. Brightest is a calculation-based platform that can do the carbon calculations for you or you can enter direct carbon data for items in Brightest.

As there are multiple ways to enter and upload scope emissions, the best approach or workflow will be based off of the data you have, or the data that you can get from other departments of your organization.

Brightest offers a lot of versatility to make it possible for a variety of clients to upload and track their data in the way that works most efficiently for them. Use our workflow options and scenarios to guide what workflow may work best for you and your organization

Accessibility to the carbon accounting categories is dependent on your subscription package.

Scope 1 - Data entry

Scope 1 emissions relate to five categories:

• Mobile combustion (from company owned or operated vehicles or equipment)

• Electricity generation emissions

• Direct stationary combustion

• Direct fugitive emissions

• Direct energy generation

To start uploading Scope 1 data, navigate to your Sustainability Module and determine what kind of data you want to enter - asset level, transit level, or spend level. Use the workflow options and scenarios below to help you determine where it makes the most sense to upload your data. Use the guides in the "Entering Data" Column if you need more guidance on how to upload the different types data.
