When you first register your account, you'll receive a confirmation email with a link to set up two-factor authentication. You can set up two factor authentication for an existing account, by clicking here, or by following the instructions below.
Navigate to your profile settings by clicking on your user name in the top right corner of your Brightest account and selecting "Settings" in the drop-down menu
Select "Manage 2FA & Security" at the bottom of the page in your profile settings
Select "Enable MFA" to use a digital one-time password application. The U2F Authentication is an option if you would like to use a physical token device.
Select "Set up 2FA", and follow the directions on the screen
Have an authenticator application downloaded on your phone or tablet. We recommend using Google Authenticator, a simple, free 2FA code management app that is available for both iOS and Android.
Scan the QR Code on your phone or tablet in your authenticator app
Enter the six-digit code from the authenticator app
Select "Enable two-factor authentication"
You'll then see a page with a confirmation that two-factor authentication has been enabled on your account and a list of access codes. Download the access codes and save them in a secure location. These codes can be used if you can't access your authenticator app. If you need to disable two-factor authentication, navigate to your profile settings and select "Disable 2FA".
