Two-Factor Authentication

When you first register your account, you'll receive a confirmation email with a link to set up two-factor authentication. You can set up two factor authentication for an existing account, by , or by following the instructions below.
Navigate to your profile settings by clicking on your user name in the top right corner of your Brightest account and selecting "Settings" in the drop-down menu
Select "Manage 2FA & Security" at the bottom of the page in your profile settings
Select "Enable MFA" to use a digital one-time password application. The U2F Authentication is an option if you would like to use a physical token device.
Select "Set up 2FA", and follow the directions on the screen
Have an authenticator application downloaded on your phone or tablet. We recommend using , a simple, free 2FA code management app that is available for both and .
Scan the QR Code on your phone or tablet in your authenticator app
Enter the six-digit code from the authenticator app
Select "Enable two-factor authentication"
You'll then see a page with a confirmation that two-factor authentication has been enabled on your account and a list of access codes. Download the access codes and save them in a secure location. These codes can be used if you can't access your authenticator app. If you need to disable two-factor authentication, navigate to your profile settings and select "Disable 2FA".
