If you would like to create a custom waste type, you can do so by navigating to the waste settings located in your ESG & Sustainability Settings. Once the waste type has been created and assigned an emissions factor in the settings area, it will be visible as a "waste type" option in your asset footprint pages.
In the Waste Historical Data Section, click "Add Data" for each waste type.
Select the metric unit for your data in the Metric dropdown menu
Select your disposal method for each waste type. Disposal options include:
Disposal Method Options
Reuse
Resale
Open-Loop (Recycling) - Recycling materials into other products
Closed-Loop (Recycling) - Recycling materials into the same products

Reclaim
You can select your own emissions factor for each waste type, but this isn't required as Brightest has default emissions factors for waste data.
Enter the amount of waste
Select the period interval for the data being added
(Optional) Attach an invoice
Repeat steps 3 - 9 to enter data for each waste type
Click "Update and Save Data"
