Uploading Asset Footprint Data
Importing asset environmental and site-related carbon accounting data
You can collect, calculate and upload environmental and footprint data for an Asset in the Brightest Sustainability Module.
Consistent with Greenhouse Gas Protocol's Corporate Standard guidance and methodology of measuring emissions, Brightest's sustainability platform defines operational or investment assets that have environmental data associated with them. In Brightest, we refer to this data as part of an asset's (environmental) footprint.
Here is how to add or edit environmental footprint data for an asset:
Navigate to the Sustainability Module.
Click on the "Assets" tab. This will open to your Asset library.
Click on the "add" or "edit" data in the far right column titled "Footprint". This will open to the asset's footprint page.
You will notice the option to select a footprint category in the menu bar in the middle of the page:
energy bills & invoices,
electricity
heating
waste
water
fuel
transportation
materials
employees (see more information below)
Click on the tab you want to enter data.
Apart from integrations with other software tools and data sources, data can be entered, imported or collected into Brightest:
Using the Add Tool
Using a csv file to bulk upload multiple datasets
Assign a colleague and designated asset managers to enter data for an asset
