Customizing your organization

To customize and configure your organization settings, visit the "Settings" link in your dashboard.

There are four primary settings areas we recommend reviewing and configuring, as applicable:

Organization settings

This is where you can view and edit high-level information about your organization.

Select "Edit 'the name of your organization''s profile" under your current banner image in Settings.

Fields you can view/edit:

  • Organization Name

  • Number of Employees

  • Organization Website

  • Organization Description

  • Banner Image

  • Brand Logo

  • Brand Color (insert the hex color code - 6 symbol code)

  • Custom Profile CSS

  • Contact Person, Email, Phone

  • Organization Address

  • Social Media Links (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Threads, Twitter)

Key information like your company name, contact details, description and social media handles will appear on your Public Impact Hub. The Public Impact Hub on Brightest is your public profile landing page in which employees, partners, suppliers and others can view or get involved with any events or opportunities you would like to publicly share.

Sustainability and ESG settings

Measuring and tracking your environmental footprint with Brightest is fast, simple, and streamlined. We understand that every organization collects a unique set of data and depending on your region or reporting obligations, may use different metrics. In the ESG & Sustainability settings, you can customize:

  • Emissions Factors

  • Choose if you want Brightest to automatically estimate employee commuting emissions

  • Customize your reporting standards and choose if you'd like internal auditing

  • Customize your data & units

  • Add materials that your organization uses

  • Assign emissions factors to waste and refrigerants

  • View/edit historical and forecast emissions data

Account Preferences

When you begin entering data within the Sustainability Module, you may want to update your account preferences for:

  • Default Reporting Year - Brightest will automatically use the current year as the default reporting year, but if you're focusing on entering information for a previous year, you can select that year here so you won't have to update this each time when entering your sustainability data.

  • Default Number of Rows in Tables (5, 10, 20, 25, 50, 100) - If you'd like to automatically see more (or less) than the default of 10 rows of data in the Sustainability Module without having to manually adjust the number of rows each time.

Diversity settings

Use diversity settings to view/edit high-level diversity information about your organization.

Select "Edit diversity info" under your banner image in Settings.

In the β€œEdit diversity info” section you can include diversity information about your company to share with current and potential partners or to receive special opportunities, considerations or recognition. If your company is a small business or if your company meets the definitions of diverse ownership or operation, you can include relevant information or upload and store certifications or third party assessments.

You can add more diversity information in the Social Tab on your ESG Dashboard.

Bank and financial settings

If you're an administrator of the account, you'll have the option to view/edit financial information in Settings.

  • You can add your organization's bank information for giving or receiving payments (for example, if you're using Brightest for fundraisers or selling tickets to events).

  • You can also update your account billing information
