Table of Contents

Add a KPI to your ESG Dashboard

Custom KPIs as well as ESG or Sustainability Standard specific KPIs can be added to your ESG Dashboard.

Navigate to your Dashboard. Click on the E, S or G section you want to add your KPI.

Click on the “KPI” tab and use the add button to add your KPI or an ESG or Sustainability Standard KPI.

Add a KPI to a Goal

To add a KPI to a Goal, navigate to the Goals Module. A KPI can be added to a new or already existing goal.

In Goals, KPIs are linked to Targets. When you create a Goal, ensure the “Does your goal have specific targets?” field is enabled.

Fill out the target fields in the Target form. Target type indicates the type of data that is to be collected e.g. number, percentage, baseline, document etc. The target type must be compatible with the KPI metric unit.

Once you click save, the KPI will be linked to your Goal.

When creating a Target, the fields: Top metric, KPU or Measurement unit for Goal, Target date to achieve Goal and Target are required fields.

Add a KPI to Actions

KPIs and custom metrics can be added to your Actions in Brightest. You can link a KPI to a new or already existing Action.

Navigate to your Actions Module. To create a new action, use the create tool and select the type of action you want to create.

In the action form, you will have the option to link a KPI to your action. Select the KPI you want to link from the dropdown menu.

If you want to add a KPI to an already existing action, click on the ‘Data” symbol in your action overview dashboard. This will open your data overview page where you have the option to select a KPI from the dropdown menu.

Adding a KPI to an existing action item:

Add a KPI to Assets

KPIs can be linked to individual Assets. To do this, navigate to your Assets in the Sustainability Module.

In your Asset library, locate the Asset you want to add a custom KPI. In the “Data” column click on the pie chart symbol. This will open up the analytics for that Asset.

Once in the Asset sustainability report, you will see two tabs, one “Report” and the other “KPI”.

Click on the KPI tab. This will open up the KPI library for that Asset. Use the add tool to add the KPI to your Asset. You can enter data for the KPI(s) here directly in the Asset sustainability report or in the Aasset's footprint page.

To enter KPI data via the Asset footprint page, return back to the Asset library page. Locate the Asset where you want to enter KPI data. Then click on "Add or Edit data" in the Asset's Footprint column. Once in the Asset footprint page, click on the category "KPI" then "Add data". You can select your KPI(s) from the "Metric" dropdown menu.

Enter the amount and period interval, then click "Update or Save".
